quotemarksThe Aspen Institute Berlin is an independent non-profit organization committed to the promotion of nonpartisan transatlantic dialogue. The mission since 1974 has been to stimulate policy debates, draw attention to critical issues, and promote a genuine competition of ideas. Focusing particularly on foreign policy issues, the institute serves as a forum for an open exchange of ideas by organizing conferences, roundtables, debates and lectures in locations around the world.

With over 30 years experience in transatlantic issues, the Aspen Institute now seeks to engage existing communities in relevant political topics and regions, specifically developing Transatlantic and Middle Eastern dialogue. In addition to large conference settings, Aspen’s new projects provide small but frequent and highly diversified meetings among professionals to discuss business issues, women’s rights, civil society developments, education, and media matters. We aim to improve mutual understanding, educate one another on current developments, and mobilize communication.
